SILICON VALLEY CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION (SVCTE) Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) educates eligible high school students for success in careers and college in a professional, hands-on environment. Courses are offered within 11 industry sectors where junior and senior high school students can explore and develop technical skills that will lead them to higher education or the workplace. Students attend Mt. Pleasant High School and SVCTE daily and spend half a day at each site.
Students take their core classes at Mt. Pleasant and spend the remainder of their day at SVCTE in their elective class. Together this creates a full-day schedule.

Information
● Open to 11th and 12th grade students
● Students must commit to attending the full school year.
● Offers a choice of two sessions:
AM = (7:30 AM to 9:30 AM with one hour flex labs) = 30 credits
PM = (12:30 PM to 3:30 PM) = 30 credits
● Each Semester earns 15 Credits
● Silicon Valley Career Technical Education is located at 760 Hillsdale Ave, San Jose, CA 95136.
● Free bus transportation is provided from MPHS to SVCTE and back.
● Space is limited. Students need to request enrollment during their counseling scheduling meeting, not all courses are UC/CSU (A-G Category:G).
